Black Maternal Health Week is an annual observance that highlights the alarming disparities in maternal health outcomes in the African American community. It serves as a wake-up call to address these disparities, raise awareness, and advocate for policies that support the health and well-being of mothers and their children. In recognition of this week, Novant Health and Boston-Thurmond United are hosting a free community baby shower and resource fair to promote the health and wellness of mothers and children in the community.
