The Community Baby Shower: A Celebration of Family and Community

The Barton County Community Baby Shower, held at the Great Bend Events Center, was a resounding success, bringing together families with small children and expectant parents in a celebration of family and community. This was the fifth year for the event, but it marked a new chapter for the organizers, as they shifted the venue from the outdoors to indoors, creating a more stable and comfortable environment for attendees.

Hosted by the Barton County Health Department and Kansas Children’s Service League

The event was the brainchild of the Barton County Health Department and the Kansas Children’s Service League, two organizations dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of families in Barton County. By hosting the event, these organizations aimed to provide a valuable resource for parents and caregivers, offering a range of services and information that catered to the diverse needs of families with young children.

The event featured 27 booths or stations, each offering a unique service or activity that catered to the needs of families.
